Bridging Asia: Shaping an AI-Ready Future Through Technology, Talent and Innovation

Sunway Business School, in collaboration with Nikkei Asia, successfully hosted “The AI-Ready Future Dialogue: Connecting Japan and ASEAN through Technology, Talent and Innovation” at Sunway University, bringing together distinguished leaders from Japan and ASEAN to exchange perspectives on the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation.

The dialogue featured an insightful panel discussion with Mr Ryo Taguchi, CEO of FOURDIGIT Inc.; Ms Chu Thi Thanh Ha, Chairwoman of FPT Software; Mr Yo Honma, Chief Corporate Advisor of NTT DATA Group Corporation; and Prof Weng Marc Lim, Distinguished Professor and Dean of Sunway Business School.

Moderated by Mr Naotaka Owada, Director of Innovation ICT Lab, Nikkei BP Intelligence Group, the discussion explored the evolving role of AI in business and society, the importance of developing an AI-ready workforce, and opportunities to strengthen Japan–ASEAN collaboration through technology, talent development, and innovation.

The dialogue highlighted the importance of cross-border knowledge exchange and strategic collaboration in navigating digital transformation and preparing future talent for an increasingly AI-driven world.
