Sunway University was pleased to welcome Dr Sumita Joshi, Assistant Director of International Collaboration at MIT World Peace University, Pune, and Mr Sandip Joshi for a courtesy visit to the campus.
The visit provided an opportunity to share the Sunway story—its journey from wasteland to wonderland and the transformation of Sunway City into the vibrant and well-connected community it is today. The guests also learned about the University’s commitment to planetary health, graduate employability and community responsibility—values that Sunway hopes its students will carry throughout their lives.
Dr Sumita and Mr Sandip enjoyed a comprehensive campus tour, where they experienced Sunway’s modern learning spaces, facilities and welcoming environment. The tour included the engineering laboratories, offering a closer look at the practical learning and innovation taking place at the University, as well as The Library by BookXcess at the new Sunway Square—a distinctive 24-hour space that brings books, learning and the wider community together.
The visit was a valuable opportunity to strengthen the partnership between Sunway University and MIT World Peace University and to explore shared interests in business, hospitality, arts and design, psychology, and engineering.
