Sunway Business School Students Achieve International Success in South Korea
Congratulations to Sunway Business School students on their Outstanding Achievement at Korea University, South Korea.
Sunway Business School students proudly represented Sunway University at the Climate Corps Summer School 2026, hosted by the Korea University Institute for Sustainability (KUIS) in South Korea.
Dr Arumugam Muthusamy accompanied the students and served as an invited Programme Mentor, providing mentoring, knowledge sharing, and support for international engagement throughout the five-day programme.
The programme brought together 148 participants from 49 universities across approximately 25 countries. Participants worked collaboratively in 20 multidisciplinary teams to develop practical and innovative solutions to climate change. The programme promoted international collaboration and interdisciplinary learning through its three core pillars: Innovation Research, Inclusive Education, and Real-world Outreach.
The programme concluded with the Final Pitch Competition, where the teams presented innovative solutions to global climate challenges. Seven teams received awards: one First Prize, three Second Prizes, and three Third Prizes.
Sunway Business School students were members of the First Prize-winning Team and one of the Third Prize-winning Teams.
Our Sunway Business School participants were:
- Zheng Yi Wen – Bachelor (Honours) in Finance – First Prize-winning Team
- Aishath Shaiha Rasheed – Bachelor of Business Analytics (Honours)
- Tam Hui Xian – Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Marketing – Third Prize-winning Team
Congratulations to Zheng Yi Wen and Tam Hui Xian on their well-deserved awards. We also commend Aishath Shaiha Rasheed for her active participation and valuable contribution throughout the programme.
The students represented Sunway University and Sunway Business School with professionalism, dedication, and excellence on the international stage. Their achievements demonstrate their ability to collaborate across cultures, disciplines, and borders while developing innovative solutions to one of the world’s most pressing challenges.
