Sunway University Hosts Mapúa University Delegation for Strategic Benchmarking Session
Following the conclusion of the CINTANA Regional Academic Leaders Summit 2026, Sunway University hosted executive academic leaders from Mapúa University and Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (MMCL) on 13 August 2026 for an intensive institutional benchmarking session.
The visiting Philippine delegation was headed by Dr. Bonifacio T. Doma, Jr., Executive Vice President for International Alliances and CINTANA Partnership Executive Director, alongside Dr. Lilibeth D. Sabino, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Key Focus Areas of the Session
Campus Sustainability Best Practices: Dr. Daniel Lee Lih Wei, Director of Research and Sustainability at Sunway University, shared actionable strategies on implementing campus-wide sustainability initiatives, driving green research frameworks, and fostering long-term institutional impact.
Global Rankings & Analytics Strategy: Dr. Tan Hsiao Wei, Director of the Center for Ranking, Impact, and Analytics, led discussions on leveraging data analytics, expanding co-authorship networks, and improving key metrics that drive international institutional reputation and ranking performance.
Joint Academic Opportunities: Both alliance partners explored concrete frameworks for future cross-border joint research, shared grant acquisition strategies, and bilateral academic exchanges.
