Biography

Dr Ali Taheri is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Sunway University, Malaysia, working in applied radiation physics and radiation technologies. His research focuses on Monte Carlo simulation of radiation interactions, radiation dosimetry, and the development and characterization of radiation detectors, with particular interests in radiation transport at microscopic and nanoscopic scales. His doctoral research investigated the radiosensitization effects of metallic nanostructures using Monte Carlo track-structure simulations. He has also contributed to experimental research on polymer-based radiation detectors and X-ray dosimetry. His work has resulted in peer-reviewed publications and patents, and his research interests span computational modelling, experimental radiation physics, detector technologies, and the development of practical radiation measurement approaches.
