Biography

Madam Jamilah Kadir has devoted 33 years to the education sector. Her journey commenced as a Mathematics and English teacher, gradually transitioning into the realm of Special Education. In 2016, she assumed the pivotal role of Head of the State Special Education Unit, and she further advanced to the position of Senior Principal Assistant Director for the State Education's Special Education Sector in 2019. In 2021, she also took on the role of Deputy Director within the Planning and Research Sector of the Special Education Division under the Ministry of Education in Malaysia. Notably, in October 2023,

she took on the mantle as the Director of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization, Regional Centre for Special Educational Needs (SEAMEO SEN).
