Biography

Pei-Song Chee is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Sunway University, Malaysia. His research focuses on sensors and actuators, wireless power transfer, MEMS, and flexible electronics.

He has secured more than 17 external research grants as Principal Investigator (PI) from government and industry partners, including FRGS (twice as PI), CREST and NanoMalaysia grants. He has published more than 60 ISI-indexed journal papers, with more than 90% published in Q1/Q2 journals, including 40 papers as first or corresponding author. Professor Chee has filed eight patent applications, including seven national and one international patent, and has supervised more than 25 postgraduate students and mentored two postdoctoral fellows. He serves as Associate Editor of the IEEE Sensors Journal and as an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports and Scientific Review. Professor Chee is a Fellow of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET), Professional Engineer (BEM), Chartered Engineer (IET, UK), ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE), and IEEE Senior Member. He previously served as Chairperson of the IEEE RFID Malaysia Chapter and is an EAC and ETAC panel member.
