1. Counselling / Psychotherapy / Psychological Counselling​

Who is it for?​

Individuals experiencing emotional, interpersonal, academic, career, adjustment, or other psychological concerns.​

What does it involve?​

Counselling involves a collaborative and confidential process to understand concerns, develop coping strategies, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and work towards meaningful personal goals. The approach and techniques used will depend on the individual’s needs and presenting concerns.​

Typical duration​

First intake session: 1 hour and 30 minutes​
Subsequent sessions: Typically 45–60 minutes. ​
*The number of sessions varies depending on the client’s needs, goals, and progress.

Fees

Master of Counselling / Masters of Counselling (Clinical Mental Health) Trainees: RM10 one-off (Free for Sunway Students and Staff)​

Professional (Registered Counsellors and Certified Clinical Psychologists): RM250 – RM350 ​

Letter and report: RM20- RM100*​

*Fees for letters and reports are based on the number of pages. One copy is included, while additional copies requested by clients will incur an additional fee based on the number of copies required.​


2. Children’s Assessment and Behavioural Intervention​

Who is it for?​

Children who experience behavioural, developmental, learning, communication, social, or adaptive skill difficulties.​

What does it involve?​

Services may include an initial consultation, behavioural and skills assessment, direct observation, caregiver consultation, and individualised intervention planning. Interventions focus on developing meaningful skills, increasing positive behaviours, reducing behaviours that may interfere with learning or daily functioning, and supporting greater independence across home, school, and other settings.​

Typical duration​

First Intake session: 2 hours​
Subsequent sessions: 2 hours per session. ​

*The number and frequency of sessions vary according to the agreed treatment and intervention program designed by the practitioner according to the child’s needs, assessment findings, and intervention goals.​

Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis Trainees: RM50​


 3. Psychological Assessments​

Who is it for?​

Children, adolescents, and adults seeking a structured assessment of cognitive, emotional, behavioural, personality, or other psychological functioning.​

What does it involve?​

Assessment may include an initial interview, administration of standardised psychological tests, behavioural observations where appropriate, scoring and interpretation, and feedback on the findings. The specific assessment tools are selected based on the referral question and individual needs.​

Typical duration

First intake assessment: 1 hour and 30 minutes​
Assessment duration varies depending on the type and number of measures required. It may involve one or more sessions followed by interpretation and feedback.​

Trainees: RM300 – RM850​

Letter and report by Trainees: RM100- RM200*​

Professional (Certified Clinical Psychologists): RM70 – RM350 ​

Letter and report by Professionals: RM500*​
