Dr Kang Chuen Siang
Kang is an expert on remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS)applications on climate change and sustainable development. He received his PhD inRemote Sensing from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2017. He gained furtherexpertise as a postdoctoral researcher in the Institute of Remote Sensing and DigitalEarth, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Kang spent another two years as a postdoctoralfellow in the Department of Geoinformation, UTM, managing a project on the impact ofland use land cover change (LULCC) on river morphology changes and ecosystemservices evaluation.
He worked with the Low Carbon Society (LCS) Research Group in UTM, mapping thegreen and blue infrastructure of Iskandar Malaysia and DBKL to support the LCSreporting and implementation in the two cities. His main interests are environmentalsustainability, ecosystem services, climate change, and smart city planning. At ThinkCity, he is involved in developing the Malaysia Urban Observatory, impact assessment of climate risk and vulnerability, and a geospatial machine-learning model.
Kang is a Professional Member (Geospatialist, Gs.) of the Institute of Geospatial andRemote Sensing Malaysia (IGRSM). He is a result-driven researcher with high technicalskills in spatial and non-spatial data analytics.
Sang Ho OH
Sang Ho Oh is the Global Director of Education Business, bringing over 25 years of experience in the Test and Measurement and Research Lab industries. Based in Singapore, he leads global strategies that connect academia, research institutions, and industry partners to advance innovation and technical education.
With a strong background in sales, marketing, and business development, Sang Ho has built collaborative programs that strengthen research capabilities and drive technology adoption worldwide. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Konkuk University in Seoul, Korea.
Mohd Azharuddin Mat Sah
En. Mohd Azharuddin Bin Mat Sah joins as Executive Director – President’sOffice, effective 4 August 2026, and reports to Datuk Anuar, President ofSunway Group
In his role, En. Azhar supports special projects, business development, and newventures for Sunway Group. To start with, he provides strategic insights onmarket trends, oversees selected business units and joint ventures, advises onmajor mobility and energy-oriented developments, and works closely with internaland external stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives.
En. Azhar holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Law from University of Kentat Canterbury, UK. He has held prominent leadership roles in established nationaland MNC organizations, mostly recently serving as the President & GroupExecutive Officer of Prasarana (Malaysia’s GLC for Greater KL’s MRT, LRT,Monorail and bus). His prior experience also includes senior roles at MalaysiaAirlines Group, Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD), PEMANDU (PrimeMinister’s Department), Microsoft, Khazanah Nasional, Iskandar Investment, andShell, including at Shell International in London.
Professor Nicholas Race
Professor Nicholas Race is Professor of Networked Systems at LancasterUniversity and Associate Dean for Research in the Faculty of Science andTechnology. His research specialises in Software Defined Networking (SDN)and Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV), with applications spanningnetwork security, media distribution, and autonomous network management.
He has significant experience leading large collaborative research projectswith industry, including the Next-Generation Converged Digital Infrastructure(NG-CDI) EPSRC Prosperity Partnership with BT, and the AI4ME EPSRCProsperity Partnership with BBC. Within NG-CDI he led the development ofIntent-Based Networking, which is now a key strategic priority for BT.
