With guidance from creative mentors and university academics, we will curate a vibrant collection of selected works as a tribute to how art evolves through different eras, at Sunway University.

Echoes
Echoes reflect how memories, tastes, and experiences from the past continue to impact us now through distinctive styles, familiar sounds, and moments that remain alive. It brings back the magic and excitement of the past through music, classic movies, and countless beautiful performances. It inspires everyone to feel the nostalgia of the past that still gently echoes today’s art. Rather than briefly glancing at an old era, history brings back the legacy and makes it feel alive. It shows us how we should behave, feel, and continue with our lives. Echoes enable us to recognise our cultural voice and appreciate the stories that we have endured through the ages.
Vibes
The current pace moves swiftly, shifting from screen to screen and bumping into music. Vibes are just the mood we flow with, not always realising where we are going. It is shaped by the past and renewed by those trying to shape the present. Each age group experiences their present moment in its way. We can use music, as well as motion,
technology, and even minutes of silence. To catch a vibe is to feel something real and true in that moment. Most of the time, it is unpredictable yet filled with passion, trust, and affection. No matter how imperfect it is, what counts is that our world is full of life. While each of us wants to stand out, we also indirectly link to others. Vibes are all about how you feel in the moment, shaped by the times you’re living in.
Horizons
Horizons represent the future that is yet to come. Like the goals we pursue, the questions we explore, and the boundaries we push, we are ready to shatter. Here, innovation combines with imagination to help art explore different ideas and options. Horizons means thinking beyond the future and working to invent new ones. This theme employs new ideas, unusual scenes, and daring stories to inspire us to be curious and brave as we envision a future filled with hope. Rather than only thinking about the future, we are now working towards building it.
