Sunway University's MARA GEAR Up! Programme: Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders
We are pleased to celebrate the accomplishment of the MARA GEAR Up! Programme held on May 19, 2024, where approximately 77 talented students from across Malaysia participated in a transformative three-day campus experience aimed at preparing them for their future endeavours.
The event commenced with an enlightening workshop facilitated by lecturers from Sunway Business School, supported by senior students.
- Participants had the opportunity to attend sessions covering a range of topics:
- Understanding Your Customer Through Empathy Mapping by Mr Rafferty Hoo Wei Hoong
- The Impact of Big Data on the Contemporary Business Landscape by Dr. Mikkay Wong Ei Leen, Bachelor of Business Analytics (Honours)
- Insights into Revolutionary Economic Trends of 2024 by Dr. Bawani Lelchumanan, BSc (Hons) Financial Economics
- Harnessing AI and Blockchain for Digital Supply Chain Management by Dr. Guna Seelan Rethinam, BSc (Hons) Global Supply Chain Management
The closing ceremony featured Professor Teo Ee Sing, Chief Executive of Sunway College (KL), who delivered an inspiring address that resonated deeply with the students, encouraging them to strive for excellence and pursue their aspirations.
Dr. Ahmad Sabri Bin Kassim, Director of MARA Negeri Selangor, concluded the event with closing remarks, commending the students for their active participation and dedication throughout the programme. Their positive feedback and appreciation underscored the success of the GEAR Up! Programme.
