unway University Wins Best User-Centric Solution at UM DeepTech 2026
Congratulating Sunway University Team for winning the Best User-Centric Solution Award at the UM DeepTech Competition 2026.

Competing against 55 teams, Team Sunway Kaki emerged proudly with this achievement.
Their project, Palmara, integrates 3D LiDAR scanning technology with AI to detect early symptoms of Basal Stem Rot in oil palm trees. By enabling timely detection and intervention, while focusing on practical usability and reducing financial losses for plantation companies, Palmara stood out as a highly impactful and user-focused solution to a real-world industry challenge.
