Kicking off the day was the official launch of Tired 2 Hired, and we were joined by our Provost, Professor Abhimanyu Veerakumarasivam. Giving an inspiring speech to all students in attendance, he urged, “Use this opportunity not only to enhance your job-seeking strategies but also to gain insights that will shape your future career paths.”
A forum was held after the book launch, titled “What Do Employers Look For in Today’s Graduates?” Moderated by Manik Rege, author of Tired 2 Hired, and joined by our two speakers, Jason Soh from AUSMAT and Sandra Khoo from PichaEats, they shared their thoughts on various topics such as working with NGOs to being persistent on that “dream” job.
Their insightful discussion ensured a lively after-discussion-party! The students had plenty to ask, and our speakers provided brilliant career tips and tricks while also highlighting invaluable experiences from their own career journeys.
