KUALA LUMPUR, 8 June 2026 – Sunway University Press successfully concluded its participation at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) 2026 after ten days of engagement and regional outreach at the MAPIM Pavilion.
This year’s participation placed strong emphasis on regional connectivity and knowledge exchange, with meaningful engagement from partners and visitors across ASEAN, China, and Saudi Arabia. These interactions reflect the Press’s growing role in facilitating cross-border dialogue through scholarly publishing.
The fair was also marked by several distinguished visits, including His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, the Minister of Higher Education YB Senator Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education YB Tuan Adam Adli bin Abd Halim, and the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr. Zulkifli Hasan. These visits underscore the continued recognition of publishing’s role in education, culture, and national development.
Throughout the event, Sunway University Press strengthened relationships within Malaysia’s higher education and publishing ecosystem while continuing to expand its regional network. A key area of interest was the growing demand for translated and bilingual publications, particularly in business, leadership, psychology, and social sciences.
Looking ahead, Sunway University Press will continue to deepen its engagement across ASEAN, China, and Saudi Arabia, while expanding its translated and locally relevant publications. The Press remains committed to strengthening its role as a regional knowledge hub connecting global ideas with local contexts.
