Kit is a YouTube content creator, an avid lover of K-pop and an adventurer for answers. She is currently completing her PhD in Creative Arts and Media at Sunway University, supported by the Jeffrey Cheah scholarship program. She is broadly interested in fandom culture, artificial intelligence (AI), social media and digital society. Her doctoral research examines the ethical implications of artificial intelligence within K-pop fandom spaces, with a particular focus of AI covers on YouTube. 

Prior to her doctoral research, Kit has presented at the 2024 Southeast Asian Media Studies (SEAMSC) conference with her paper covering LGBTQA+ identities in K-pop. She was also awarded the Jeffrey Cheah Scholastic Award in 2023 during her master’s program in Visual Communication and Media Studies at Sunway University, and the Malaysia-China Ambassador Scholarship Award from Xiamen University Malaysia, during her bachelor’s degree in journalism.
