Biography
Dr Mohammed Arifuzzaman Mondal is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Future Cities Research Institute (FCRI), Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Sunway University, Malaysia. He previously served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at GITAM University, Bengaluru Campus, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology with a specialization in IoT networking and protocols from North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, India.
His research primarily focuses on IEEE 802.11ah-based IoT networks, Quality of Service (QoS) optimization, machine learning-based channel access mechanisms, and energy-efficient communication systems for smart cities and industrial applications. Dr. Mondal has published his work in reputed journals such as Elsevier Ad Hoc Networks and Array, along with presentations at IEEE I3CS and Springer PCCDA. He is passionate about bridging IoT technologies with real-world urban challenges and is committed to advancing multidisciplinary research in future cities and sustainable urban systems.
