Biography

Jocelyn Marcia Ng is a research fellow at the Sunway Centre for Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage. She holds a MA in Ethnomusicology from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her recent project involves digitising audio-visual formats of field recordings and establishing the archive of the late Professor Dato’ Dr. Ghulam-Sarwar Yousof. She also curates exhibits from archival materials and is the archivist for the MyArchives project, creating a digital repository of Malaysia’s performing arts. Previously, she headed the resource centre at the Penang House of Music, where she facilitated the compilation and digitisation of its collection of Malaysia’s popular music.
