From the Global Carbon Cycle to the Factory Floor

At our latest Campus With A Conscience (#CWAC) Speaker Series, we explored near-real-time carbon monitoring and how satellites, ecosystem models and machine-learning technologies are helping us better understand the Earth’s carbon cycle.

Dr Piyu Ke, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement (LSCE), Université Paris-Saclay, France, shared insights into the changing dynamics of the global land carbon sink, including what the 2023/24 El Niño revealed about nature’s role in absorbing carbon emissions, and what this means for businesses navigating today’s sustainability landscape.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the session!
