Research Centre for Nano-Materials and Energy Technology
Overview
The Research Centre for Nano-Materials and Energy Technology supports the university’s sustainability efforts by developing nanomaterials-based new technology for sustainable energy. We are involved in designing, developing, synthesizing, and testing different nanomaterials, such as advanced nanomaterials (MXene, Graphene, CNTs and their composite) to enhance various energy production, conversion and storage systems. We are led by Distinguished Research Professor Saidur Rahman, who ranked in the top 1% highly cited Researcher according to Clarivate Analytics.
We have state of art lab facilities with modern equipment and computational tools to produce high quality data to support research, collaboration and industrial activities.
Vision
To be a leading research centre in nanomaterials, energy efficiency and sustainable energy through innovative research, publications, product development and service to the community both locally and internationally
Mission
- To conduct innovative research and provide training and consultancy in the areas of nanomaterials and energy
- To develop new nanomaterials for sustainable energy solutions
- To establish local and international collaborations with leading organisations in the field
- To develop state-of-the-art facilities to establish a strong foundation for research and consultancy
- To produce highly-trained people to serve the sustainable energy industry and other related industries and government agencies
