Dr Varun Kumar R.S.

Chan Lay Guat

In addition to her role as a Senior Lecturer, Chan Lay Guat serves as the Head of the Department of Actuarial Science and Risk within the School of Mathematical Sciences. She joined Sunway University in 2015 and has over 10 years of teaching experience. Lay Guat is passionate about mathematics and education, and she has earned several awards in her research endeavors, including the First Prize in the Teaching and Learning Poster Competition hosted by Sunway University and the Best Paper Award (Third Prize) at the ASEAN Quality Assurance Conference in 2022.

Professor Ho Chee Kit

Ho Chee Kit is a Professor of Mathematics and Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences. Professor Ho led and pioneered the development of a successful Actuarial Science programme at Sunway University and has more than 30 years of experience in the education field, with related industry exposure in actuarial science, training & education, sales and marketing. His current research focuses on graph polynomials, tiling problems, and number sequences.

Associate Professor Dr Jane Teh Kimm Lii

Jane K.L. Teh specializes in applying statistical methods in the fields of Social Gerontology and Health Sciences. She is an alumna of Brown International Advanced Research Institutes (BIARI) at Brown University, USA. In addition to her statistical expertise, she possesses skills in software development and analytics, which she acquired during her years of experience in the information technology sector before transitioning into academia. Teaching is her passion, and her receipt of teaching awards, recognizing her exceptional teaching accomplishments, serves as a testament to her dedication.
