May Measurement Month" Celebration in Conjunction with World Hypertension Day, from the Department of Primary Care Medicine, University Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Department of Primary Care Medicine at the University Malaya Medical Center, Kuala Lumpur, organized a Hypertension Screening campaign in conjunction with World Hypertension Day 2023. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about hypertension, promote early detection, as well as provide guidance to individuals at risk. 

The campaign successfully engaged a significant number of participants, offering them health screenings, educational resources, and personalized support.

This event ran from the 6th to 9th of June 2023, totaling four days. We collaborated with the Malaysian Society of Hypertension (MSH) and The Malaysian Society for World Action on Salt, Sugar, and Health (MyWASSH) to make this event a success.

We organized a series of events during the four-day campaign, including activities such as "Move with the Docs," "Cook with the Docs," and a live webinar that covered comprehensive information about hypertension https://www.youtube.com/live/5Gw9AL_sdrw?feature=share. 

These initiatives aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of hypertension. Additionally, we provided continuous medical education to our hospital staff (including allied health, nurses, doctors, and engineers, etc.), ensuring they were well-informed and updated on the subject matter.

A total of 779 participants were screened throughout the entire event.
