Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours)

Overview

The Civil Engineering programme equips students with a robust foundation in civil engineering principles, emphasising sustainability and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to address modern engineering challenges. The programme offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines core civil engineering subjects with cutting-edge topics in sustainability and AI, preparing graduates to lead in innovative and eco-friendly infrastructure development.

The programme places a strong emphasis on sustainable practices, integrating courses such as Sustainable Engineering Design and Sustainable Digital Construction Technology. A key feature of the programme is its focus on AI. Courses such as Data Analytics for Engineers and AI in Civil Engineering utilise AI technologies to optimise designs, predict maintenance needs, and enhance construction processes. Hands-on experience and soft skills are cornerstones of the programme. Students participate in laboratory work, project-based learning and industry placements, providing practical experience with the latest tools and
technologies.
