About The Programme
The International Preparatory Programme (IPP) is an intensive six-month preparatory programme. International students or candidates from certain countries that want to take certain Sunway University degree programmes (for example programmes in partnership with Lancaster University) will need to take and pass our online six-month International Preparatory Programme (IPP).
This is a requirement to enrol on a Sunway degree programme that also leads to a degree awarded by Sunway’s partner institution. This requirement does not apply to all international students but only to those from specific countries. If you are an international applicant please check with our counsellors about your own specific situation.
Please note that students are required to pass all the subjects in the IPP with grade C or above in order to progress into the degree programme.

International students who are not eligible for a direct entry to the dual degree programme.
Programme Structure
There are four tracks to the program:
- Computer Science / Engineering
- Natural Sciences
- Business
- Communication

Certifications
Academic Transcripts will be provided at the end of the programme.
Entry Requirements
The entry requirements follow the programme requirement of the Sunway University degree programme of choice. For example, if a candidate is interested in joining the Computer Science program, he/she will need to meet the requirements for the Computer Science major before joining IPP.
