Congratulations to Dr. Babu Ramanathan

Congratulations Dr. Babu Ramanathan! He received a travel award to deliver his research outcomes at The Annual Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting (JITMM) held at Bangkok, Thailand. The symposium was jointly organised by Mahidol University, Thailand and the Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU). The theme of the meeting was on "Tropical Medicine 4.0: Effective Collaboration for an Impact on Global Health" which addresses the need for researchers and practitioners to think and act innovatively in order to solve global health issues, and the benefits of collaboration in turning research into sustainable solutions.

Dr Babu’s talk in this conference highlighted one of his priority research areas “Development of antiviral agents against dengue”. His collaborators for this research project including Prof. Poh Chit Laa, Research Centre for Biomedical Sciences (RCBS), Sunway University and Prof. Edward Tiekink, Research Centre for Crystalline Materials (RCCM), Sunway University.
