International Office hosted Jungma High School from Gwangyang, South Korea
International Office hosted Jungma High School from Gwangyang, South Korea on 30th January 2018. Jungma High School is one of the top high schools in the province awarded by Ministry of Education in South Korea.
The 28 students from Grade 11 and 12 were accompanied by the Principal Jeong Gi Sik, the Career Guidance Counsellor and three teachers.
During the visit, the group attended workshops by School of Arts (SOA) and School of Hospitality (SOH). The workshop at SOA was led by Travis Liew and Ivan Yeong introducing creativity in design. At lunch break, the whole group dined at the SOH Training Restaurant.
Principal Jeong was impressed with Sunway having three institutions in one location. They visited most of the University and College buildings; finally, they visited Sunway International School. Here is where they learned more about the Ontario Canada curriculum. SIS Principal Heath Kondro took them on a guided school tour. They were impressed with our international students population.
Jungma High School is a high potential school in South Korea for our Pre-University programs, so they chose to spend one day in Sunway campus for their students to experience Sunway City.
