School of Hospitality Showcases the Research Project Exhibition
Well done to the degree students of the School of Hospitality for the subject module Research Project 1! Students were dressed to the nines and prepared very eye-catching yet informative posters for the project presentation. In this subject module, students had the opportunity to carry out in-depth research related to different fields of study within the hospitality context. Most of the research projects revolved around topics such as Food & Beverage, Travel, Tourism and even Consumer Behaviour. This subject module enabled students to explore different aspects of knowledge, experience and skills learned throughout the degree programme, which eventually improves analytical skills required for research.
The students are encouraged to keep the momentum of research on-going, especially as they have to participate in another research project in the next semester. One may question as to why is research being given so much emphasis? Research not only open doors for careers but also can bring about new knowledge and perspective.
