Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kuala Lumpur Visits Sunway University
The International Office (IO) is excited to welcome our first group of foreign visitors on campus since the opening of international borders. This is the beginning of new opportunities as we reconnect with existing partners and new prospects in this endemic phase.
On 10th May 2022, IO hosted a visit that consists of 22 delegates from selected private high schools and universities in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The visit was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kuala Lumpur who worked closely with our education representative for Central Asia.
The agenda of the visit to Sunway University is to better understand and learn about the multi-level education system in Sunway. Malaysia has been an important partner of Kazakhstan in education over the years. We are pleased to be informed that many professionals and officials in Kazakhstan are graduates of Malaysian higher education institutions.
The visit includes a campus tour of our state-of-the-art facilities as well as Sunway International School. At SIS, the delegates had the opportunity to meet with the academics and was given an introduction of the Ontario education assessment system.
To follow up on this visit by Founders, Directors and School Principals in top private institutions in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, His Excellency Bulat Sugurbayev paid a courtesy visit to CEO of Sunway Education Group, Prof Elizabeth Lee in Sunway campus on 20th May 2022.
