The International Office Organized a 3-day Sunway Partners' Day

 

The International Office recently hosted a prestigious and highly anticipated event, spanning three magnificent days from November 1st to November 3rd. This gathering brought together an impressive assembly of 32 exceptional partners, boasting a total of 45 participants representing more than 20 countries. The central purpose of this event was to unveil and partake in insightful discussions concerning comprehensive plans for the forthcoming year in 2024.

The event kicked off with an inspiring opening speech by Ms. Lim Shui Chin, the Director of the International Office and Special Projects. What made this occasion even more special was the gracious welcome by Professor Dato' (Dr) Elizabeth Lee, the Group CEO of Sunway Education Group (SEG), who delivered the welcome remarks. President Professor Sibrandes Poppema showcased the achievements of Sunway University, while Executive Director Professor Teo Ee Sing provided an insightful update on the progress of SCKL, all on the first day. The day culminated in a sumptuous dinner hosted by the venerable Tan Sri Dato' Seri Sir Jeffrey Cheah KBE AO, the founder and Chairman of Sunway Group, at the splendid Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa.

The event's conclusion on November 3rd featured a prestigious closing ceremony attended by President Professor Sibrandes Poppema and his dedicated team from the Chancellor's office. At this significant juncture, certificates of recognition were presented to each of our valued partners by our distinguished Group CEO, Professor Dato' (Dr) Elizabeth Lee, to honour their invaluable contributions. As all the pieces came together seamlessly, our shared goal is to elevate our standards and set new benchmarks as we head into the promising year of 2024.

Meanwhile, at the event, Professor Ho, the dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS), and Associate Professor Dr. Sim, the dean of the School of American Education (SAE), generously extended their support.
