Jeffrey Cheah Foundation (JCF) Scholarships & Awards Presentation Ceremony 2023

On 3 November 2023, the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation (JCF) held its annual Scholarships & Awards Presentation Ceremony to celebrate and recognize exceptional achievers and deserving future leaders of the nation. The ceremony was graced by Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, the Queen Consort of Johor.

During the ceremony, RM52 million in scholarships were awarded to deserving students from all walks of life. This marked the 14th year JCF has disbursed scholarships to assist qualified but financially constrained students in pursuing their higher education aspirations.

JCF is a not-for-profit Foundation that owns and governs the Sunway Education Group, which includes Sunway University, Sunway College, Sunway TES, Sunway College JB, Sunway College Ipoh (SCI), Sunway College Kuching, Sunway International Schools, Sunway College Velocity, Le Cordon Bleu Malaysia -Sunway, 42 Kuala Lumpur & Sunway iLabs. JCF is the largest education-focused social enterprise in Malaysia and believes that quality education should be affordable and accessible to as many deserving students as possible.

Since its inception, JCF has contributed more than RM617 million in scholarships, education grants, and donations to Malaysian schools to provide access to quality education for all. JCF has also collaborated with world-renowned universities such as the University of Cambridge, the University of Harvard, and the University of Oxford to raise the standards of excellence in education in Malaysia.
