A Year of Connection, Insight, and Growth for Early Career Researchers at Sunway University
Sunway University's ECRN, the Early Researchers Connect Network, is making waves with its ambitious goal of uniting early career researchers and supporting them on their academic journeys. Here's a glimpse of the exciting projects we've undertaken in 2023:
On October 27th, 2023, we brought together over 50 ECRs for an inspiring talk titled "Connecting the Dots: Enhancing your ROV" by our esteemed Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Engagement & impact) Professor Mahendhiran Nair. Drawing from his rich experience, Professor Mahendhiran shared invaluable insights to help our academics achieve a sustainable and impactful academic career.
Next on our list was the first-ever ECRN Seminar Series, featuring a hands-on NVivo workshop for qualitative research. We were privileged to have Associate Professor Dr Ng Lee Luan from the University of Malaya lead the two-day event on December 13th, 2023, right here on our campus. Participants gained practical skills and knowledge, with the exciting second day scheduled for early next year!
