Preeti Nair is the Director of Strategy and Planning at Sunway University, a position she has held for the last 4 years. Prior to that, she served as Head of Planning and Corporate Development and before that, Senior Manager in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, overseeing special projects, as well as the Lancaster partnership among other things.

In her current role, Preeti heads the Planning and Corporate Development Office which is responsible for institutional research and data analysis, university budget and corporate planning as well as strategic planning and delivery. Along with that, she also oversees university league tables and government rating agency submissions.

Prior to joining Sunway University in 2008, Preeti worked in a Multinational corporation as well as several regional non-governmental organisations including Consumers International Regional Office for Asia Pacific, overseeing the Trade and Economics programme in the Asia Pacific Region.

Preeti has a BSc in Psychology from the University of Oregon (USA), MBA in Finance and Information Systems from Queensland University of Technology (Australia), Masters in Professional Counselling from Monash University and a Practioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, from the London College of Clinical Hypnosis. She is also a licenced and registered counsellor with the Board of Counsellors (Malaysia) and a clinical hypnotherapist. She is member of the Malaysian Society of Clinical Hypnosis and an Affiliate Member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
