In 2022, the Graphene and Advanced 2D Materials Research Group (GAMRG) achieved a milestone by hosting its inaugural international conference, EMSEE2022, focusing on emerging materials for sustainable energy and the environment. This groundbreaking event united luminaries like Professor Rachid Yazami as Plenary Speaker, alongside esteemed Keynote Speakers such as Dr. Rezal Khairi Ahmad, Professor Yuri Gogotsi, Professor Thierry Brousse, and Professor Vijayamohanan K Pillai, alongside numerous other accomplished researchers across energy storage, conversion, and environmental sciences. We're thrilled to announce that this year, the Sunway Centre of Electrochemical Energy and Sustainable Technology (SCEEST), formerly GAMRG, will host this dynamic conference again, promising another enriching experience for all attendees. The main objective of the EMSEE2024 conference is to bring together top scientific experts, researchers, and research scholars to exchange and share research findings on current breakthroughs in emerging materials for sustainable green energy. Furthermore, EMSEE2024 aims to create a platform to increase prospects for successful collaboration across research groups. Above all, EMSEE2024 wishes to highlight and address issues concerning sustainability and the environment, as well as practical challenges experienced and future potential. EMSEE2024 will be held from December 16th to 18th, 2024, in collaboration with TBC.

The conference will be hosted at Sunway University, which is situated within the vibrant township of Bandar Sunway in Selangor, Malaysia. This location offers several advantages, such as proximity to Kuala Lumpur (~12 km), the capital city of Malaysia, and easy access to various amenities, including shopping malls, restaurants, and recreational facilities. The conference will focus on current trends and anticipated future concerns concerning new materials in a variety of applications. The meeting sessions will feature invited speakers from top experts in respective disciplines, contributed oral papers, and poster presentations. Attendees will be able to exchange ideas on the underlying interactions and the usage of developing materials in research and applications in a wide range of fields, such as solar energy conversion, electrochemical energy storage & management, thermal storage & management, gas catalysis, and other relevant issues. In terms of participation in EMSEE2024, the organizing committees are all united in actively urging local/international young colleagues, industries, academicians, postdocs, PhD students, other post-graduates, and undergraduate students to attend.
