What is Inbound Mobility for Visiting Students? 

Inbound Mobility for Visiting Students are programmes which are offered to students who are currently enrolled in a home institution outside Malaysia. Students who wish to study at Sunway University as a visiting student can choose between a Long-Term or Short-Term Mobility programme. Upon completion of the programme at Sunway, students will return to their home institution to complete the rest of their studies.  

What is a Long-Term Mobility programme?

Long-Term Mobility programme can span between 3 to 12 months. Students who are enrolled into this programme will be studying alongside our fulltime students and are expected to fulfil the requirements of the programme. At the end of the semester, students will be graded and will earn the transferable credits that their home institution can recognise.  

What are the Visa Requirements for Long-Term Mobility Programme? 

Students will have to apply for the Mobility Student Visa which is a one-time study visa for a duration for up to 12 months. This visa is non-renewable. The university will assist you in your visa application once we have received the complete set of your application documents and there are no outstanding issues as well as upon receiving the payments for the visa fees.

What is a Short-Term Mobility Programme? 

Short-Term Mobility programme such as the Vacation English Programme, Academic Short Courses, Edutourism programmes such as The Malaysian Experience are short courses offered for the duration between 2 to 12 weeks. Visiting student typically spend their Summer or Winter semester break enrolled in these programmes.

What are the Visa Requirements for Short Term Mobility Programme?  

The Social Visit Pass will be issued to the students and the validity of the said pass depends on the eligibility of each nationality. The university will assist you to apply for an EMGS Supporting Letter once we have received the complete set of your application documents and there are no outstanding issues as well as upon receiving the payments for the visa fees.
