Sunway University has been integral to my academic journey, providing a fulfilling experience. As a student who pursued Pre-U, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees here, I can confidently attest to the quality of education, vibrant campus life, and invaluable opportunities it offers. My time as a Pre-U student at Sunway University was a formative experience that laid a strong foundation for my future academic pathway. The rigorous curriculum and the guidance of experienced faculty equipped me with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in my studies. The collaborative learning environment and modern facilities motivated me to study and develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Beyond the classroom, I actively engaged in extracurricular activities, joining clubs and societies that allowed me to explore my interests and develop valuable soft skills.
 

I graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality Management at Sunway University and Lancaster University and started working in countries like Vietnam, the US, Australia, and other European countries. In 2018, I decided to continue my postgraduate studies with my Master's degree and Doctorate, which I succeeded in getting in 2024. Ten years after my graduation, I returned to Sunway University, Malaysia, not as a student but as a lecturer. My return marked a full-circle moment, bridging my Vietnamese roots with my deep connection to Malaysia. Sunway University ignited a passion for hospitality and service during my studies, instilling values beyond textbooks. The university's emphasis on practical experience and global perspectives gave me the skills to excel in a competitive industry.

During the pandemic phase of Covid-19 in 2020, I felt that the university really tried to adapt to the new situation and delivered an excellent experience for all the students. I believe that Sunway University is one of the best universities to study in Malaysia. 

My time in Sunway University Department of Art and Design has given me a valuable experience to broaden my horizons about design, respect and learn about different cultures, and make friends with good people.

It is very safe in the campus. There’s CCTV installed everywhere and friendly security staff that we could always reach out to. We have a wide selection of restaurants and cafes nearby. Some are even available 24 hours. Sunway City is well known for all of its facilities, some even walking distance. We have malls, a hospital, theme park and readily available transportation for students and residents. I have never really felt the need to wander far off from Sunway City as we have everything here.

With the shift of classes to online platforms, due to the coronavirus pandemic, our current Programme Leader, Dr Shehnaz Tehseen, and the International Office constantly endeavor to uplift students and attend to our enquiries as constructively as possible.
