Abstract
This seminar brings 3 distinguished speakers from East and West to discuss the issue of university leadership and governance. It will be shown that the success of leading global universities has a lot to do with the system of institutional leadership and governance that promotes greater autonomy, innovation and freedom to its academic body especially to staff and students. The best practices from the East and West will then be brought into the context of Malaysia to see how Malaysian institutions could rise to a higher level of academic achievement.
