Introduction

The Jeffrey Cheah Travel Grants for Southeast Asia were established in 2013 with the financial support of the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation.

The exchange programme is designed to advance Southeast Asia-focussed teaching and research by engaging Harvard University staff and students with Sunway University by supporting Southeast Asian scholars who wish to travel to Harvard.

The grants provide researchers in Southeast Asia with the opportunity to travel to Harvard to share their academic findings, present lectures, meet like-minded scholars and tap into the university’s library and museum collections.
