Cultural Study Tour to South Korea
A cultural study tour to South Korea was organised by International Office in partnership with Daelim University College from 8th – 12th October. This visit comprised 15 Sunway University students - 9 students from Department of Art and Design (DAD) and 4 students from Department of Computing and Information Systems (DCIS), accompanied by lecturers Nicole Fu and Assoc. Prof. Dr Lee Yun Li.
The group was warmly welcomed on the first day by Prof. Cho, Director of Global Affairs & Education Institute and her team. The students visited the Department of Mobile Internet at Daelim University College and they had opportunity to experience how to build simple game using Unity3D and Android programming.
Prof. Kim, Head of Department of Mobile Internet and her colleagues and students brought the Sunway students for a campus tour. During the visit, they were greeted by the President of Daelim University College, Prof. Hwang and his team.
Besides visiting Daelim University College, additional visits were made to KT Olleh Gallery, Samsung Innovation Museum (SIM), Samsung D’light, LG+ Experience, Digital Media City and Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). Sightseeing tours were also made to Bukchon Hanok village, Gyeongbok Palace, Namsan Tower, Lotte Sky Observatory (the tallest building in Seoul) and famous shopping streets and night markets – Myeongdong and Dongdaemun markets.
