Shohei High School Students Explore the Art of Coffee at Sunway University
It was our pleasure to meet the students and academics from Shohei High School, Japan, who visited Sunway University on their last day after spending one week in Malaysia and was introduced to the fascinating world of coffee. They experienced different methods of roasting and tasting, and were introduced to various kinds of coffee and coffee beans. A big thanks to Ms Joanne Chaw, from Sunway University International Office, for organising this trip.
The school wishes to thank Dr Riley Pham, Dr Siti Atikah, Ms Shireen Tan, and Ms Karen Lui for their wonderful support in co-organizing the session, especially by sharing their professional insights and expertise and facilitating the smooth running of the session. The session was engaging, novel, innovative and truly experiential, evident from the bright smiles all over. Finally, a special thank you note to Runa, our student from the Diploma in Culinary Arts programme, whose support was greatly appreciated.
As always, we are honoured and delighted to be able to share our knowledge and experience with the new generation, and we hope to leave a lasting and constructive impact on these up-and-coming experts of our future.
