DBS staff gave plenary talk and awarded honorary membership in Philippines

Assoc. Prof. Gopalasamy Reuben Clements was recently invited by the Philippine Society for the Study of Nature (PSSN) to give a plenary talk on "Using persuasion science to increase pro-environment behaviour" at the International Conference on Nature Studies and Innovation for the Environment 2018.

Held at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila between 16-18 May 2018, PSSN’s 18thannual scientific conference had the theme of “Connecting the Dots for the Environment and Humanity". The conference highlighted the important role of nature studies in bringing together the patchy information of the environment and humanity held by the various fields of inquiries.

Apart from giving talks in other sessions on grant writing and the latest advancements in biodiversity monitoring techniques, Dr. Reuben was also a judge for an oral presentation competition. In recognition of his contributions during the conference, Dr. Reuben was awarded an honorary membership by PSSN.
