Delegations from Maldives and Japan Visit Sunway campus

On 12 April, International Office had the honour of hosting two groups of visitors at two separate venues in Sunway University. The two groups were from the Ministry of Higher Education in Maldives (led by the Minister of Education) and the Japan Association of Overseas Studies (JAOS) with 11 education advisory consultants. Both group visits were organised by Education Malaysia Global Services. Sunway University was selected as the private higher education institution for this familiarization trip.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Graeme Wilkinson welcomed the Minister of State for Education, Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Nazeer and staff of the Department of Higher Education, Maldives. The Japan Association of Overseas Studies (JAOS) were met by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof Pua Eng Chong.  They were briefed on Sunway University’s origins and achievements. JAOS is an association representing education consultants in Japan. The group comprised of 10 members including the manager of Tourism Malaysia office in Tokyo, Mr Makoto Tokunaga.
