Professor Glenda Crosling Invited as External Panel Member for Quality Audit of the Institute of Topographical Sciences in Oman

Professor Glenda Crosling, Head of Sunway University's Centre for Higher Education Research, was recently invited by Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA), to act as external panel member for the quality audit of the Institute of Topographical Sciences, which is an integral part of the National Survey Authority, Ministry of Defence, Sultanate of Oman. The panel members included senior academics and quality personnel from Pakistan, Oman, and the UK, along with the OAAA audit director.

During the audit, the panel visited the Institute for three days, and, along within document and facilities review, interviewed a range of top management staff, academic staff, students, external stakeholders and alumni.

The National Survey Authority in Oman is a governmental body with the sole responsibility for the production of geospatial data for the Sultanate of Oman.

The invitation to join the panel is an indication of the sound reputation of Sunway University. It was a good opportunity through Prof Glenda's participation to promote the quality of Sunway University within the Middle East. Prof Glenda found the experience to be rewarding and beneficial for all parties, and her participation provided an added dimension to feed into her work at Sunway.
