SOH Students Engage in an Incentive Tour to Gopeng

Organised by the students from the Diploma in Events Management, a group of 31 students travelled to one significant eco-destination in Malaysia - Gopeng. The incentive tour is part of their course requirement, to provide students an opportunity to organize a tour starting from conceptualizing the destination and itinerary, to the final stage of executing the tour programme. 

During this two-day trip, the first challenging activity was waterfall abseiling in Salu River. This activity enables students to strengthen their confidence through participating in adventuresome activities. Students were also involved in various customized team building activities, where team members learnt the importance of communication and teamwork to accomplish some tasks given. The highlight of the trip was the themed Gala Dinner – Hawaiian Night, where students produced the authentic experience, including a Hawaiian dance performance, fashion show and a “Best Dress Award”. In the final day, students also visited Kellie’s Castel, the popular historical landmark in Perak State.
