Sunway University represented at a research collaboration meeting between Lancaster University, UK and University of Waikato, New Zealand
Dr Elizaveta Berezina of the Department of Psychology, School of Science and Technology, Sunway University was invited to be part of the visiting delegation from Lancaster University to the University of Waikato, New Zealand from 15 to 18 October 2018, for a joint meeting to explore research collaborations and academic exchanges.

The delegation included academics from Lancaster University led by the Head of Global Engagement, Ben Matthews. The entities from Lancaster University who participated were the Department of Psychology, Lancaster University Management School, Lancaster Environment Centre, Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts, Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning. Dr Elizaveta was invited as a representative from Sunway University as a partner university with Lancaster University.
The purpose of the visit was to explore opportunities for collaborative research and strategic knowledge exchange including internationalisation, staff development and student exchange. Currently, there are already student exchange agreements between Lancaster University and University of Waikato as well as Sunway University.
The visit included presentations of joint research activities in Lancaster and Sunway Universities, meetings with representatives of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Psychology, and the New Zealand Institute for Security and Crime Science, as well as a campus tour. It concluded with the debriefing session on potential areas for research collaboration and development of the international
partnership between the universities. It was indeed a great opportunity for the three universities to develop academic relationships for mutual gains.
