The 10th English for Specific Academic Purposes Symposium focuses on Malaysian classroom interaction
The 10th English for Specific Academic Purposes Symposium on August 11 attracted 170 English language specialists from 43 secondary schools and various Education Districts. The community outreach featured highly interactive workshops by CELS colleagues. The comment “see you next year’ was widely heard. The keynotes by researchers Professor Moses Samuel and Professor Stephen J Hall addressed the dynamics of the Malaysian context. The theme “How we develop learning through understanding and shaping Malaysian classroom interaction”, along with focused activities and a book fair drew English Language teachers and teacher trainers from as far away as Melaka and Kampar.
