The Youths from the School of Hospitality in the Business Events Forum
The Youth Business Events (BE) Business Pitch this year was held at the prestigious Business Events Forum in Setia City Convention Centre in October 2018. A team of talented yet courageous students of the Diploma in Events Management led by Ms Karen Pong, together with Ms Tan Pei Qi, Ms Queenie Wong Pei Yee, Ms Chiah Jean and Mr Ong Chun Xian proposed a very creative yet original idea, and this has enabled the team to secure a spot amongst the top finalists!

This BE Forum event is annually organised by the Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS), to create a business platform for industry players to share knowledge and ideas on the latest trends and technological developments impacting the growth and sustainability of the Business Events industry in Malaysia and other countries in the region.

According to Ms Suhaini: “In the forum, there is a section specially dedicated to youths, opening doors for them to interactively gain more involvement in the industry, and best of all, to experience the nerve-wrecking pitching of new business ideas to a panel of distinguished industry leaders! Nevertheless, our youths were able to put together an impressive proposal and did us proud for having so much passion and enthusiasm in what they do”.
