School of Hospitality Students Organised a Tour to Sungai Lembing

26 students from the Diploma in Event Management together with module lecturer, Ms Ng Siew Cheng travelled to Sungai Lembing, Pahang as part of the Incentive Tours Management module. Students were required to plan and organise a tour comprising of sightseeing, team building activities and a themed Gala dinner. During the semester students have been introduced to the fundamentals of organising incentive travel and tour arrangement. With the skills and knowledge attained, students are required to design and execute an incentive tour in a professional manner.

At Sungai Lembing, students visited local landmarks and was also able to try its local traditional cuisine. Students also took this opportunity to give back to the local community, where a street clean-up activities was conducted. This gesture by the students is to create awareness to locals and tourists about the importance of cleanliness and the beauty environment, which should be sustained for the many generations to come.
