First Steps and More for New International Students

Running for the third semester is ‘First Steps: Sunway & Malaysia’ (piloted as ‘Sunway: The Virtual Experience’ in August 2020) where new Sunway international students are provided with an introduction to the Sunway & Malaysian culture. Conducted by Sunway Cultural Exchange (SCE), the programme caters to students who were not able to travel to Malaysia yet and therefore unable to experience and learn first-hand the culture we have to offer.

The April 2021 ‘First Steps: Sunway & Malaysia’ programme saw 28 participants of 17 nationalities coming together to form ‘families’ and bonds with local buddies from the Sunway Global Friends Community and SCE Ambassadors.

Now that the travel ban for students has been lifted, we are finally able to meet some of our participants - including those from the August 2020 batch! Buddies from their respective batches met up and brought the participants around for a tour of the campus and indulged in their favourite topic, FOOD!
