Rethinking Indian Labour History

Prof Crispin Bates has been promoting the research of the newly created Centre for South Asian and Indian Ocean Studies (SAIOS) in the School of Arts at Sunway through a series of online seminar presentations hosted by the Indian Association for South Asian Studies, the University of London (AG Institute for Indentured Labour Studies), the University of Exeter, University of Leiden, Wits University, Tokyo University, Hankuk University, the University of Malaya, the University of Hyderabad and, most recently, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Ahmedabad.
