The Malaysian Red Crescent Society and SMLS Degree Students Join Volunteer Programme to Support the Refugee Community
Together with the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) the degree students of the School of Hospitality and Service Management participated in a two-day volunteer programme in supporting medical needs of the refugee community.
The students were in-charged of registration for medical check-up. Prior to the event, students also organised a fund-raising activity to purchase medication sought after by the MRCS to be distributed to the refugees.
This activity is part of the Community Service subject, where students get to work and engage with non-profit organisations to contribute to the wider community.
