From 1,000 to 35,000: Yvonne and Jolynn's AniManGaki Event

Sunway University students have been on quite a journey, going from a passion project to a massive event! Yvonne and Jolynn, two talented individuals have held the popular AniManGaki ACG (anime, cosplay, and games) event every year since 2009. In 2009, they held a student event organised by the Sun-U Anime Club at Sunway University's multi-purpose hall. This event was attended by around 1,000 people. In 2022, they brought together 35,000 fans for a two-day event at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre! Their event has attracted so many fans over the last few years, that Yvonne and Kolynn both opted to quit their full-time jobs in 2017 to focus on organising their annual event.
